Taylor Wimpey have been awarded the 2024 Double U certificate for their eco-friendly benchmark in home-building and continue to excel in the world of eco-friendly homes.

Not everybody is environmentally-conscious and wants to be an eco-friendly ambassador but when you’re working in the world of real estate, it most definitely works in your favour. Especially in 2024.

At leading Spanish home-build company, Taylor Wimpey, the crew on board are proud of their dedication to sustainability and environmentally-responsible practices. So much so, that they’ve been honourably awarded the Double U certificate in recognition of their green efforts.

Taylor Wimpey s home-builds: commitment to the environment

This auspicious award has come at a price. Not only have Taylor Wimpey shown utmost commitment to the environment in their home builds, but also to their customers and business partners.

Juan Antonio Hurtado, Taylor Wimpey Spain’s Production Director gladly accepted the award on October 21 of this year, marking the occasion with these words: “We are deeply grateful for this recognition of our longstanding environmental strategy. For years, we have prioritised sustainability as a core value, focusing on resource optimisation, environmental protection and active efforts to address climate change.”

Taylor Wimpey praised for sustainability and energy production

The UK-born brand with their outreach branches across Spain have shown off their eco-magic in style. Numerous stringent assessments revealed that the firm came out with flying colours in terms of sustainability, reduction of environmental impacts, staff health and safety, energy production and other strict criteria. The list goes on. Not only this but the certification process involved a full-scale analysis of multiple areas of the business meaning there was no room for error or loopholes. The Double U Management Systems Stamp has been well and truly (and rightly) placed on their brand.

Eco-friendly homes: Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol and Balearic Islands

But it doesn’t stop there. The renowned construction company also got their hands on a second award: the Double U CO2 Footprint Stamp for their push towards carbon neutrality. In a world where nobody wants to be leaving a carbon footprint bigger than their own shoe size, this is no mean feat for a company which has built tens of thousands of homes, especially on the highly coveted coastlines of the Balearic Islands, the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. The award celebrates their success story of calculating, reducing and offsetting their carbon footprint, whilst at the same time erecting beautiful homes.

Taylor Wimpey also triumphed with the Double U GreenWeb Stamp for reducing its carbon footprint in the creation and hosting of websites with a low carbon impact.

2023 Environmental Sustainability Award for Taylor Wimpey

How many stamps do they need one might ask? Well, with the help of Podarcis Group who have been endorsing Taylor Wimpey, it would seem that the awards aren’t stopping any time soon with the brand also smashing the CAEB 2023 Environmental Sustainability Award last year.

To showcase Taylor Wimpey’s sustainability legacy in person, Altura 160 is the company’s most glamourous top model. Based in Benahávis and Marbella, these A-rated energy efficient apartments and penthouses boast aerothermal energy, underfloor heating, LED spotlights, double-glazed windows and pre-installation for electric vehicle charging. If this weren’t enough, these eco-friendly homes come complete with their own communal gardens with local flora and fauna. How’s that for protecting local biodiversity?

Eco-focused homes: the pride and joy of Taylor Wimpey in Spain and UK

Eden Beach apartments, 700m from La Mata beach in Torrevieja, Alicante, tells a similar story. With wonderful sea views, spacious terraces, private gardens and solariums, these eco-focussed homes are tailored to every buyer’s whim and fancy…whilst making sure they don’t overstep the carbon footprint mark.

Taylor Wimpey has been guaranteeing secure investments for clients who rely on their dependable, professional team since 1958. They maintain their legacy of quality developments, experienced professionals and a level of client satisfaction that outdoes even the savviest real estate competitor.

Taylor Wimpey’s award-winning company treats homes green and keeps buyers keen. Now who could want better than that?
